Life Skills Development Level 1 — also called Companion — supports adults age 21+ through nonmedical care, supervision, socialization, and meaningful community activities tied to support-plan goals.
LSD1 can support adults in accessing community-based activities and building familiarity, confidence, and independence around community resources when the service is tied to the individual’s support plan goals.
Activities should be purposeful and individualized — not simply “keeping someone busy.” The person’s goals, preferences, and support plan drive the service.
